McAfee offers digital security products that secure both home and business users, ranging from antivirus-only solutions to Internet security-focused products to integrated, all-in-one security suites that do everything.
The three primary product lines are McAfee Antivirus Plus, McAfee Internet Security, and McAfee Total Protection, each offering an increasing number of security features at different price points.
While other security vendors offer products that protect a specific number of devices, usually ranging from 3 to 10, McAfee’s 2017 products and solutions provide protection for every one of a user’s devices for the full duration of each annual subscription’s validity.
That means they offer multi-OS support, covering Android, Windows, iOS, and Mac – ideal for modern tech enthusiasts who can sometimes mix and match their device ecosystems to suit their specific needs – for a full year.
The software focuses on four main areas of protection: secure banking, ad blocking, data protection, and anti-malware functionality, which it does using McAfee’s leading-edge security technologies.
McAfee has also created a new, ultra-secure way of authenticating; the feature is called True Key™, and it’s a multi-factor authentication technology that gives people a number of different ways to log into their favourite websites, services, and even operating systems.
Options include facial recognition, fingerprints, passwords, PIN codes, specific devices, and True Key makes sure that every time you authenticate, you use at least two factors to confirm that you are indeed you.
True Key also manages passwords so that you don’t have to remember them, but only once you’ve authenticated yourself, of course.
McAfee’s core value proposition lies in the fact that it offers world-class cyber protection for an unlimited number of devices per user, across a number of different ecosystems.
